As always, at the Axiom Dynamics Training Academy, (LINK) we will continuously strive to make things less complicated for our learners to achieve success in whatever qualification they are studying.

With this in mind, we have put together a simple checklist for the Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA).

Within your portfolio there are folders for Units 1, 2 and 3 and also your Learner Portfolio. (This is the folder that contains all information about your learners). This checklist should be used before submitting these units to your course tutor, as it will ensure you have all documents completed.

Course Administration

Folder

Recognised Prior Learning

Please upload any relevant certificates. These can be used as recognised prior learning (RPL), which means you will not need to complete those units again.    

ID Upload

This is your proof of identification and address to register you as a learner and to submit your portfolio for marking.        

Unit 2 Checklist

Unit 2 Workbook

Each Learning Outcome answered should be answered accordingly. This can be a reference point to another folder within your portfolio, demonstrating this learning outcome or additional information added to complete your evidence of understanding.

Individual Learning Plan

Signed off and dated upon completion of each Learning Outcome by yourself. Your own tutor/ assessor will then sign this when submitted.

Supporting Documents

This area is to be used to upload any supporting documents, such as:

  • Qualification Specifications
  • Standards
  • Criteria

CPD Record

This is a completed record of your CPD.

Learner Portfolio (Required for Units 2 & 3)

Both ‘Your Details’ and the ‘Initial Assessment’ need completed here.      

Learner Details

You will need to complete one of these documents for each learner that you are assessing as part of your evidence of your portfolio.   

Achievement Summary Sheet

You will need completion dates entered in the Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA) for all three units.     

Specimen Signature Sheet

Your signature and that of anyone else involved in the process.   

Assessment and Action Plan

This form is what you complete when planning what each learner must achieve during the assessment visit. You will need 8 of these completed for the full CAVA course, (4 per learner for Unit 2 and 4 per learner for Unit 3). 

Candidate Assessor Observations

The Document below is to be used when you are assessing your learners.

For the full CAVA qualification you should have a total of eight observations with at least one of these being observed and documented by us/your assessor.

Note: The Observation and Professional Discussions templates within the Unit 2 and Unit 3 folders are completed by us/your assessor.      

Assessment Records

This document is to be used by you during your assessments to record all the decisions you make. You will need 8 of these completed for the full CAVA course, (4 per learner for Unit 2 and 4 per learner for Unit 3).                   

Evidence Tracking Sheets

These evidence sheets are provided to help you keep track of your progress in completing your portfolio.
