Level 3 Award in Education and Training – Online

Our online Level 3 Award in Education and Training is becoming more and more popular, and at the Axiom Dynamics Training Academy, we are receiving more and more phone calls, emails and messages every day regarding this way to learn. I would like to take this opportunity to give you an overview of our online Level 3 Award in Education and Training, formerly known as Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector or PTLLS for short.

Who is this for?

Our exclusive online Level 3 Award in Education and Training Course, also known as the AET Course, is the accredited introduction for those who wish to teach in post-16 education. To obtain the linked qualification or Level 3 Award, you will need to complete the AET Training Course and pass the assessments.

This online Level 3 Award in Education and Training has been devised for you to complete remotely, so is ideal for those who prefer to learn in their own time, without having to attend a classroom environment. This could be from your home, your office or anywhere else that suits your lifestyle.

What do I need to do?

Once you have registered for this level 3 teaching qualification, we will email you your unique online portfolio. You will be required to complete this as part of the qualification, but do not worry, we will explain this to you via a video conference call, for example Zoom or Teams, and at an agreed time with yourself so you have an understanding of what it is you need to do.

What support will I receive?

To help you complete this level 3 teaching qualification, and within your portfolio, you will find PowerPoint presentations, voiceovers and tutor notes that relate to each unit. We will also send you two e-textbooks, ‘The Award in Education and Training’ and ‘Passing Assessments for the Award in Education and Training’, both by Ann Gravells, and an additional e-version of The e-Learning Hub’s delegate pack, that includes more information, lesson notes and templates. We advise you to use these for your further reference and guidance when it comes to assessments.

Your dedicated online tutor will also be on hand should you run into any difficulty while completing the qualification.

How is the AET assessed?

With regards to the assessments for this qualification, you will need to complete three written assignments. These will be found within your online portfolio. You will also need to complete a 15 minute micro-teach on a subject, that has been chosen by yourself. This needs to be recorded by you and uploaded to us at The e-Learning Hub. Finally, you will complete peer and self-evaluations, but again, templates for both of these will be in your portfolio. Your course tutor will then send you feedback on all your assessments.

Do not worry as your course tutor will be there to guide you the through the whole process and support is only an email away.
