The vast majority of people who are now completing their assessor course with Axiom Dynamics were unsure when they first contacted us as to whether or not this was the right course for them. After we reassured them the qualification to become an assessor is the same in any sector, they were keen to get enrolled and get on with the course. This is the Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement.

At Axiom Dynamics, we guide the learner through assessment training every step of the way. Some of our learners working in sectors such as hairdressing, first aid, business administration, beauticians etc even go on to set up their own training academies. We provide course information in a step-by-step guide; we guide them through the awarding organisation application process even onto building their training academy website.

Below is an overview of each of the assessor qualification:

Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA) – Units 1,2 & 3

Who is this qualification for?

This is the only qualification that will make you a fully qualified assessor. On completion of this course, not only would you be able to assess learners in their workplace (in your own area of occupational competence), but you would also be qualified to assess learners’ vocational knowledge and skills in any of the following learning environments: classrooms, workshops, and virtual learning environments.

Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment (ACWE) – Units 1 & 2

Who is this qualification for?

This qualification is aimed at anyone who needs to be able to assess learners in a workplace. On completion of this course, you would only be qualified to assess learners’ occupational competence within a work environment.

Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocational Related Achievement– Units 1 & 3

Who is this qualification for?

This course is for anyone who needs to be qualified to assess learners in any of the following learning environments: classrooms, workshops, and virtual learning environments. On completion of this course, you would onlybe qualified to assess learners’ vocational knowledge, skills and understanding outside of the work environment.

Level 3 Award in Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment (UPPA) – Unit 1

Who is this qualification for?

This qualification is ideal for anyone who has previously trained as an assessor and only needs to do a refresher course to bring their knowledge up to speed. This qualification alone would not qualify you to assess learners in any learning environment or within the workplace.

Training academies employ teaching and assessing skills to help train students to an NVQ standard. Teaching can be a very rewarding career, giving the opportunity to train, mentor and qualify students to become successful.
